Crane Technologies recently completed the installation of a unique and highly specialized crane. This new crane was installed in the environmental chamber of the GSPEL (Ground Systems Power
and Energy Lab) at the U.S. Army’s Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC).
This new state-of-the-art environmental test chamber allows for temperature, humidity, wind speed and solar radiation testing. Temperatures within can fluctuate between -60 and 160°F. Because of these extremes in temperature change, the use of a standard crane was simply not possible.
Crane Technologies has an experienced staff of engineers that designed electrical, structural and mechanical components that were capable of exceeding the environmental specifications. We have established a proven track record of serving the most demanding customers nationwide. Professional clients in military, aerospace and industrial automation have also relied on our team for custom crane options and crane components since 1946.
